What to Expect on Installation Day
When our crew arrives at your home, we begin with a final walkthrough to confirm the system layout and pipe routing. We then core a four-inch hole through the basement slab at the designated suction point and excavate a small pit beneath the concrete to create an open area for airflow. The PVC pipe is routed from the suction point through the basement, up through the home's interior or exterior, and out above the roofline. The inline radon fan is mounted in the attic, garage, or on an exterior wall, depending on what works best for your property. All penetrations are sealed with fire-rated caulk, and a U-tube manometer is installed on the pipe so you can visually confirm system operation at a glance. The work area is thoroughly cleaned when we finish, and we schedule a post-installation radon test to confirm that levels are below the EPA action level.
Every system we install comes with a written performance guarantee. If post-mitigation testing shows radon levels still at or above 4.0 pCi/L, we will modify and adjust the system at no additional cost until the target is met.
